What do you love more about working at New Generation

To have the unique opportunity to witness someone going from experiencing homelessness to achieving housing stability and self-sufficiency.

It takes an incredible amount of hard work and determination for a mother, very often by herself, to break the cycle of poverty and be able to provide her children with a safe home and a better future. Most of the mothers that come to New Generation can achieve that and it’s a privilege to be with them even if it’s just for a little part of their long journey.

What Inspires you most about the families you work with?

Their ability to quickly adapt after experiencing traumatic experiences and their determination to never give up. Their love, care, and commitment to give their children a better life is also very inspiring!

I love how we truly move lives forward at New Generation by empowering the mothers and children we work with.

The women and children I work with inspire me daily!

What do you love more about working at New Generation

Connecting with our community directly. Being able to see the fruits of our labor and love daily. We impact so many families and it is a blessing to be a part of that journey.

Their resilience and the ability to use the tools that they have been given to succeed further in life.

What do you love more about working at New Generation

I love being able to help the families that walk through our door just like the way New Generation helped my son and I when we lived here. I know firsthand the magic that happens at New Generation, I am living proof that the program really helps people when they put the work in themselves. That is the biggest reason I chose to work here; I want to help these families live a life of sustainability.

What Inspires you most about the families you work with?

Watching how hard they work every day for themselves and their children, is so Inspiring to me. Every family that comes here is unique and they have different circumstances surrounding why they’re in need of shelter. Each family teaches me new things and we learn from one another, by the time they move out into permanent housing they have grown so much. They find strength in their journey and staff is here to help them grow, it’s a beautiful thing.

I love working for New Generation because we inspire ourselves as a team and make a difference in our community.

What Inspires you most about the families you work with?

I want to inspire other families because I also have been through the process as a resident, and I want to give them as many opportunities as New Generation has given me, so they and their children can have hope for a better and brighter future.
