Become a Volunteer

Where would we be without terrific volunteers like you? They are at the heart of what we do at New Generation. Ask any one of our wonderful volunteers; they’ll tell you they get so much out of helping their communities: a feeling of disconnectedness, a sense of ‘giving back,’ and a comforting feeling of well-being. Join us and see!

We are seeking volunteers to provide childcare for our families based on their daily needs (i.e., medical appointments, school meetings, job interviews, etc.). All volunteers interested in this category will have to complete a background check.

Enrichment Sessions for Families

Volunteers will conduct fun but also enriching activities for women and their children. This will be based on families’ specific interests. All volunteers interested in this category will need to complete a background check.

Support our “A New Beginning” Initiative

A New Beginning is a volunteer initiative in which New Generation matches a volunteer group with a current homeless family that is ready to move out of our shelter. The volunteer group will provide the family with support and specific items during the move-out day. They will also set up and welcome the family to their new home.

Due to COVID-19, New Generation will work with volunteer groups remotely and will make available non-contact options for the delivery of items and the set-up of the units.
